MAGIC EYE

Surrealism, photo manipulation and misdirection are key elements in Adeus’ work, and after many long whisky-fueled nights of brainstorming, he committed to the idea of creating something semi-abstract, using various textiles, as well as cheap household and office materials. In this disorienting display of colorful camouflage and over-saturated solids, Caff Adeus treats his viewers to a myriad of scenes and topics, both lighthearted and emotional, along with some completely random objects, and human-like shapes that Adeus refers to as his “ghosts”, hidden within the fabric.

HUSH HOUR In a complimentary bathrobe, perched high in a DTLA hotel room, Caff Adeus captures the muted monotony and milling about far below. Shadows created by sunlight breaking through the smoggy afternoon sky, playing peek-a-boo between the buildings, creates cinematic scenes of solitude, in which the artist finds familiarity. His composition displays scenes of isolated individuals in order to communicate his loneliness.

WOOLVS In his most dynamic and thought-provoking exhibition to date, Caff Adeus sheds light on his own inner turmoil by warping reality to visually depict the manifestation of stress, doubts, insecurities, depression, trauma, anxiety, and the like, and how all of these things silently push and bend us from within.
